Question Remove a Settlement from Sim Settlements?

Is there a way to have Sim Settlements ignore a specific settlement? I'd like to just completely ditch Sanctuary.

Not sure if that is possible for Sanctuary, as it is a main quest line start. i.e. with Preston. But maybe if you play the conqueror role? As a committed Minuteman being a Raider just doesn't sit with me.
Perhaps someone else could advise on that.

Advise?......

You are not alone.
:agree:

The only thing that comes to immediate mind is to never build anything there and ignore the Minutemen storyline entirely.

The SS scripts will still look there yet there will be nothing for them to interact with.

Is this related to your Start Me Up question? Can you provide some more background?

The two questions are actually unrelated. As far as background, Sanctuary is a mess stock and the repairable sanctuary mod is a buggy mess, so I'd rather not use Sanctuary at all.

Then don't build at Sanctuary. If you want to skip doing the quests in Sanctuary, meeting codsworth, saving Preston, etc from the museum, and doing Sturges' Quest, then you might want to look at SKK...

I have tried it, it works... it steps through the stages and it self activates after you exit the vault ... it has choices how far you want to advance the Minutemen quest line... up to the point of going to capture the castle. You also have the choice to receive the experience points for the completed quests. Downside is you have a bunch of experience points for the skill tree, but no upgraded armor and weapons and supplies... and enemies will be leveled up to your new level... so arm up before you venture too far from Sanctuary.

but I play survival and a bit of a purist.. something for me to do the quests and complete as required ensures everything is properly unlocked...

Sanctuary workbench can be unlocked before you meet codsworth. You could always leave Preston in Museum... but that prevents the minutemen quest.

Sanctuary is a shithole!!
Worst settlement in the game!
Fite me!

It's so big that it begs to be overbuilt, then becomes a freaking nightmare.

With the right Leader Packs, I think every one of the Quincy Five can be made Mayors elsewhere.

Maybe build the minimum to satisfy Sturges, then disperse them, and leave Sanctuary to the Bloatflies.

Come to think of it, is there a mod to get/allow Preston, Murphy et al to move to a different settlement?
You don't need a mod, click on them in the console a type setpv bAllowMove 1 You will have to fast travel away for it to take affect.

Send them to different settlements and work them like the dogs that they are with setpv bAllowCaravan 1 No more sitting around complaining, have them haul your stuff across the commonwealth.

Yeah there's that but I just don't like the place at all, I'm not a fan of suburbia irl so I've never liked building there.

Coots does this... you can make mama, preston, etc as the mayor. I don't know if that moves them or allows me to move them. Never tried... lol... I leave them in Sanctuary...

And Sanctuary is too easy to overbuild without paying attention... and next thing you know, problems and problems...

I am just waiting for @kinggath to crash his Sanctuary in his Let's Play YouTube series... I think he is approaching the Rubicon ... I think with what he has, once everything upgrades, it will go boom on him... lol... I want to hear him say "oh, shit"... during his playthrough... "I am going to jot this down as a bug"... and put the green bug splash on the screen... :)

Before SS came around I got totally sick of listening to Jun Long's sadness.... only fair that I sent him out to lead the first available caravan. A number of levels later, I found the poor bastard at Egret marina, stuck on a rooftop with his brahmin... both shot dead by raiders. :hi:skull

SUCCESSSSSSS!!!

I salute you sir! :buba

That pair are the main reason that I will avoid Sanctuary. I believe that Coastal Cottage and Croup Manor require some supply-line runners. :pleasantry

—edit—

Ooohhhhh, and I need to send Mama Murphy to Hell - eh @uituit ;)

Just keep giving her drugs, she'll send herself.

Wait. What? Are you saying that if I keep giving her drugs, she will OD and die off? I haven't tried that option - though didn't know it existed?!

Oh, and if so, does Preston and Codsworth like that? They usually don't like me giving her drugs, btw.
