Yes, you can. It was changed a while back so they are separated now.

That is a @woodfuzzy video and was uploaded before the update.

Thank you for posting the video. :hi

@woodfuzzy is a beloved Sim Settlement legend. Much of what we have today was tested by that gentleman, over 10,000 hours. :friends We miss him :crayand likely one of the most knowledgable troubleshooters that ever helped the community except KG himself.

Thanks for the info about @woodfuzzy..... but you still did not say how to change a plot to have no foundation or build one that way. If there are options to build with out or to modify an existing plot I can not find them, a little direction would be helpful. If you can point to the right part of the Wiki or another video that would work.

I have HUDFramework and SMM Installed

If you are fully updated to the current version of Sim Settlement none of the plots have foundations anymore and are separated in the menu.

I'll have to look for the KG video. It was some time back.

I have the year one add-on pack maybe its contents have foundations or something is conflicting because I have foundations on plots.

I would check and make sure everything Sim Settlements is up to date.

The year one Mega pack is well vetted now so likely no conflict.

If that does not work check the halo tape. Like in the video there is a setting that will attach them.

One of the problems is that the agricultural plot ASAM poles sticks through the ground so roof top placement in not ideal.

The original problem I was having turned out to not be a true foundation, the wooden non-foundation is just part of the "[WV] Babylon Roof garden" plot. For whatever reason I set the plot to the no ground version of that plot but the change did not take (no destruction of old plot, no explosion). So I discarded the plot and made a new one which worked fine. The other problem plots that had foundations were advanced industrial plots that should not be on a roof anyway. I’m still working through what all can go on a roof but so far the only real issue is the ASAM pole lengths and that’s not a total show stopper.

Thanks again for the help

There is a setting in the holotape for auto-spawning foundations with the plots. If you'd like to only spawn them manually, you might confirm that the holotape setting is disabled.
