I finally restarted Conqueror with a fresh save after a much older save bugged out with regards to recruiting new raiders. This time around I actually get the raid desk, new quests, and new commentary by Jammer which is nice. However when I did a slave outpost raid all but 2 settlers died and I can't recruit new settlers. How am I supposed to get enslaved to work enough farms to feed all these hungry raiders without going around enslaving named NPCs? I can't recruit settlers to a non-Conqueror settlement, enslave them and send them to a Conqueror settlement.

I found at the start you have to keep the raiders fed by adding to the workbench until you get enough vassals set up. Find that survival magazine that gives double meat from animals. It's either in Sunshine or the ranger cabin south west of Sanctuary.
Also enslave folk throughout the commonwealth as you go, that's what I do.

I don't think so, you got to roll with the punches sometimes though.
I found places with unique/named npc's they tend not to die, like Abernathy and the Slog.

You are taking them as a vassal though right? Not an outpost.

When I take over a Slave Outpost very few of my setters or civilians die. They go down but not out, like a named NPC. Once the battle is over, they stand up and are enslaved. So I don't think what you're seeing @damanding is supposed to be how it works.
I'll log this in the Consolidated Conqueror Concerns thread as Research.
Can you please go to the autosave before the raid and try again? I'd like to see if it was a fluke that all but 2 died or maybe determine who's killing all the settlers (your Raiders, companion, karma...). I'm trying to see if we can narrow down the culprit.

Edit: I take all grenades away from my raiders and they kill each other with them. Perhaps grenades are the culprit? Grasping here, sorry.

I updated the Consolidation thread to Bug Reported as it already existed in the official Conqueror Bug forum. I provided a link to this thread for reference.

Interesting. I just ran a slave outpost raid, and all the people in the settlement survived the event. My raiding party on the other hand... :skull All but two of the eleven guys met their end, even with slightly better equipment. One of the the gunners defending was legendary. Very painful, but we claimed the outpost. Eight slaves and two raider recruits.

I use this mod. It spawns slaves that like to work:

Sorry I forgot to come back to this thread before now and I've gone way past that battle. I decided to go to Nuka World to pick up Gage and then got side-tracked building a new mansion for myself in Sanctuary. >.<

I have never used his mods just on sheer principle but it does give me the idea that there are other settler spawning mods available. I'll have to check those out!. :)

Is there something wrong with his mods?? Should I uninstall them? My game is very stable.

He's just an extremely not nice person. I can't speak to the quality of his mods.

Which settlement was this? The Slog is known to have it happen because Bethesda didn't correctly flag the "Workers" as being location bosses, which is how Conqueror is able to remotely grab settlers and protect them.
