Old Post "Far Harbor is too far away..." [SOLVED]

I tried to use Salvage Beacons in Far Harbor before setting up a Comm Station, so I understand why I was getting the message "Far Harbor is too far away from the Commonwealth and requires it's own Comm Station network." I have since setup a Comm Station at Dalton Farm and assigned a settler to it, but I keep getting the message. I've tried going back to the Commonwealth, dumped my existing Beacons, then went back to FH and crafted new ones. That hasn't helped.

I've found old comments from Kinggath responding to others reporting this also, where he said he fixed a bug. I believe I started using Beacons loooong after that. And I have the newest version now. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I read a little more of KG's old responses and fixed it. Here's what to do:
  1. Exit game
  2. Disable Salvage Beacons mod
  3. Load game and make a save with the mod disabled
  4. Reinstall mod
  5. Load game
  6. Craft new beacons and a new Comm Station on the Far Harbor Island (and assign a settler)
