Not a bug CTD when Military Surplus by Tinuvia builds

I was getting frustrated by frequent CTDs in a settlement and thought the latest SS update might be the culprit. I finally figured out it was the internal commercial plot Military Surplus by Tinuvia. Whenever it starts building I get a CTD. Every time.

Hi! We recently had a similar bug report that turned out to be a mod conflict. That user had a mod called Performance of the God that seemingly removes vanilla meshes. They had CTD while building our Rose interior, Military Surplus and Work Wear.

Can you try on a new save with only our mod and SS loaded?

Because of the other bug report I know that we can't replicate this, the Military Surplus builds fine for us (all the plots do, we test them all before uploading the new update, takes forever). We even tested by downloading the version of Nexus, the plots build fine with that one as well, so no corruption in the uploaded file from what we can tell.

Hmm, have you tried it with the latest update of Fallout? They don't believe in release notes anymore so it's hard to tell what changed but they updated Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2.

I'll look for a problem mod through the process of elimination.

edit: Just the base game and SS mods and it still crashed as soon as the plot started building. I created a save with the unassigned plot ready, loaded with just the minimum and assigned a settler.

F4SE 0.6.15 with Fallout 1.10.120. I couldn't see any conflicts Wasteland Venturers with FO4Edit btw.

I hope it's not just me! (again!)

It's Plots By PawPaw. Before or after Wasteland Venturers the crash occurs right after the "resource is now assigned message".

Here's a save started with Eldarth's architect save set up for an immediate test. It has one internal plot right in front of the player with Military Surplus already selected. A couple of seconds after you load a settler will ask to be assigned. It couldn't be more convenient! :) I also included the autobuild and Papyrus logs. The save requires Transfer Settlements/F4SE, Settlement Menu Manager, and of course Sim Settlements, Plots by PawPaw, and Wasteland Venturers all-in-one.

I can see a few conflicts in FO4Edit but I don't know if they are ones which matter.

Cranky Cat, I have time to play today. I have all the mods you are talking about + another 400. Everything is up to date.

I will try the Military Surplus internal plot. I have a middle-game running that is very stable. I will try to reproduce.

I tested and can confirm that Military Surplus crashes with Pawpaw's addon installed (latest versions from Nexus). Plots by PawPaw seems to have some unintentional edits, and if I remove them in FO4edit, Military Surplus builds fine. So I'm closing this bug report since there's nothing we can do and I'll send Pawpaw a message.

Thank you for letting us know. I'll change the plot type. Mine is still building, using realistic building times.

Thank you for volunteering to test it! I hate bugs. I work really hard to keep our mod clean and my nefarious husband, evil twit that he is, takes gleeful joy in dirtying it up as soon as he gets his sticky fingers on it. That said, there's an off-kilter lamp in Nellie's and then there's that noisy magic fountain ...

Ok, "Raybo gets serious" ok, just a little. Lamps and Noisy Fountains :)

You two gift us all with some of the most fantastic and wonderful content out there "bar-none" haha - sounds like a plot :)

This, on a Sunday, is only a small example of how much pride, care, and support that you-all put into your creation. That and the fact that PawPaw is learning and you are treating him with the dignity and respect we all appreciate when resolving issues to the betterment of all, the community and most importantly "each other." It's all good! haha, and far more noteworthy than a detail or two. An opportunity for something more in the little things. Is always a good thing.

We all appreciate it and its great to know so we can work around it until he gets around to it.
