hello together I'm new here and know me with the mod not so nice if someone could help me.

have flying problem,

My view of the settlers is always down because I allegedly have no food and no drink.

according to the construction menu I have 132 food and 54 water but according to the settler hud I have nothing.

is that a bug or did i do something wrong?

mfg twinkie ps sry for my bad english i am from germany

Your english is better than my deutsch. :santa1

Questions
1) Is it in only one settlement, or do you see the same problem in several settlements?
2) What does the settlers say if you talk to them? Do they complain of lack of food or water? (settler happiness is related to several things)
3) "construction menu", is that the top bar you see in workshop mode (building mode)?
4) "settler hud" is that the HUDmeters described here link to wiki? (also kinggath explains how they work in this video)
5) do you have "dynamic needs" on in your Sim Settlements settings? (link to wiki about dynamic needs)

Gruss Gott

1. yes it is only in a settlement the problem

2. nobody complains or anything else

3. yes I mean the display in the workshop menu above there from

4 yes i mean the HUDmeters

5. dynamic needs how can i adjust this?

:santa1

1) How many settlements do you have with Sim Settlement plots?
2) What is the happiness number (in the workshop mode status bar), and is there an arrow pointing up or down?
3 & 4) what values do you have for - fill in the table below (or upload a screenshot)
workshop HUD
Settlers ? ?
Food ? ?
Water ? ?
Power ? ?
Defence ? ?
Beds ? ?
Happiness ? ?

5) City Manager 2078 Holotape (instructions)

What version of Sim Settlements are you using? (The menus for the City Manager 2078 holotape has been changed with the 2.1.8 update, that's why I want to know.)

I think screenshot is better maybe that explains a lot

the versioen is 2.1.8 I Play

I hope that it is easier to understand now

The moral has been at 6 for days

Ok. I don't think it's a bug. I believe there's a misunderstanding to how Sim Settlements work. I'll try to explain some of it.

Needs
Basic game: Every settler (leute) need 1 food (essen) and 1 water (wasser). They also need 1 bed (betten). (Extra: sheltered beds, beds with roof over them, gives better happiness (moral) values.)
Sim Settlements: every settler still need the same things, but now we also have plots that have needs. Every plot need power (except farm plots). Some more power, some less. But plots can also need food and water. As the building grows a level, the plot need often change. This is called dynamic needs.
Example:
At level 1, the plot need 1 power (energie)
At level 2, the plot need 2 power and 2 water
At level 3, the plot need 2 power, 3 water and 3 food.
If you look at the plots information sign (plakette?), you will see how much the plot need.

HUDmeters
The values in the HUDmeters are not the same values as in the workshop mode status bar. The workshop mode values are what the settlement actually produces. The HUDmeters show how well you meet the needs of your settlement in %.
Basically you have: production / needs = HUDmeter.
The 3 top ones (food, water, defence) are most important - if they aren't at 100% you will lose happiness (moral).

Happiness
good for happiness: enough food, water & defence + doctors, some martial plots, all recreational plots, the toy factory.
bad for happiness: too little food, water & defence + almost all industrial plots. Every robot living in your settlement.

Solution(s)
Produce more food and water - or - shut off dynamic needs (this will stop plots from needing more and more as they level up).

Hey I’m sorry I know this is an old thread but NikVilKok I think you are a great resource!!! The info you gave was great. I was hoping to ask one more question.

I’m getting the same issue as Twinkie but in reverse?

My HUD framework meter are full. But my workshop meters are in reverse. They are negative for food, happiness, and sometimes food or housing. When I switch between all my ASAM sensors in my settlements after I gather a town meeting no one is highlighted. When I look at my settlers in workshop mode I can see their homes and work assignments as well!

Is this when I should be refreshing my plots to fix this?

I lost alliance with Tenpines Bluff because it said they were unhappy and had needs like not having enough beds, and I went there. My HUD meters were showing full beds and jobs and the happiness was like 1/4 filled but my workshop meters still said zero for happiness. And then after I left it said I lost alliance with them?!

I apologize I’m a legit n00b on these mods and still learning . I am also on xbox one if that makes a difference.

Welcome to the forum!
Sorry for the late reply but I'm not as active on the forum these days.

You do seem to have a bad correlation between the HUD and workshop figures.
The behaviour you describe should not be possible, in other words it might be a bug.
Could you please take a screenshot and post it here? And also list the versions of the Sim Settlements and the HUD framework mods you are using.

Sorry, but I don't really understand what you are trying to do, and thus not what's going wrong. Could you please try and describe the problem again, in other words, or more words.

That's why we are here!
And yes, it's very good for us to know that you are on Xbox. Thanks.

(@OwenHo could you please move the previous post (KUHlessi's first) and any following up posts into a new thread in the bug section?)
