Removing City Mayors

So if a city is at T3, but not max pop, can I remove the mayor, and have the city still auto build residential/other plots when new settlers come in?

Also, since I can't edit the topic title. Does removing an industrial plot to put an advanced industrial plot ruin the city's ability to build plots?

I'd love to know the answer to the second question myself.

From what I understand, removing the mayor will bring the city building to a stand still.
 
Oh yes they will. That's right, you said level 3. Ignore the final sentence.

However you will lose any bonuses the mayor brings.

Really? I changed my mayor at greygarden and it still seems to be building just fine. This was when it was at lvl 1, iirc.

Eh, I just went back there and it popped up with a message saying "Supervisor White is now the leader of Greygarden". SW is the one I replaced with Codsworth. Le sigh.

Nope, it's definitely progressing the upgrade on my end.

I was referring to removing a city leader, not changing them. If you remove the city leader with no replacement or take back the city that will stop the city growth.

I got a message that Supervisor Green was now leader; what happened is that Supervisor White chased an enemy out of the city limits and therefore could no longer be leader.

Which Supervisor White are you using? Because it just happened again and she was definitely in the settlement so I'm wondering if something else is going on.

I'm not sure what you mean by "which Supervisor White". There are multiple?

If multiple leader packs add on Supervisor White as a leader then you would be able to choose between different versions of her to use.
