help with "look for building occupants" in ASAM sensor

I'm wondering how to get rid of the "quest" that trigger a when you choose "look for building occupants" while looking at a buildings Asam sensor/building plaque. I'm always looking at the sensors to change plots and all that, but I try to really, really careful when doing beca use I've never figured out how to end that "quest" and get rid of the map markers that it links to. Its a great little feature, but hopefully someone can help me get rid of these map markers. I've tried talking to the occupants, but nothing works so far.

you dont even need the original post, do it from a different post twice (first one switches to that post, second one cancels)
