Miracle Max and Clinic dialogue stuck?

I got the Miracle Max shop a while ago and the only option the NPC gave me was "I'm looking for chems" and they would sell me chems. I figured it was a chem shop and didn't mind at the time. I've since tried to add a clinic to the settlement (to cure Radiation/heath), and the clinic NPC is limited to the same single interaction.

All NPCs stay at their proper stations. I would just really like someone to cure my health.

I upgraded Miracle Max to level 2. I reset it a few times. I've reassigned NPCs to both stations. I've currently removed Miracle Max from the settlement, then the clinic, then just placed a new clinic. Any NPC assigned to the clinic only sells me chems with no option to heal.

Any suggestions how to reset this?

It's likely you have a mod that is changing the behavior of the AI. If you disable all other mods besides SS and its addons do you still get the issue?

Hi! I just rechecked by turning off all mods except for those related the Sim Settlements. Both NPCs still have the same single interaction. Clinics work fine everywhere else. I built Miracle Max around a month ago, didn't think anything of the dialogue, and have since updated SS a couple times without thinking that plot needed to be refreshed.

It's not a huge issue if my game is borked with this one little issue in this one settlement. I was just wondering if there was another way to refresh things that I hadn't tried.

EDIT - I just tried it with all mods turned off, including sim settlements. Both NPCs are still stuck with that dialogue even though they are unassigned. I created a new clinic station, assigned a new NPC to it and he has the same dialogue.

The only way to "reset" the plots with destroying them or getting rid of SS is by refreshing them using either the holotape or using the immersion breaker breaker tool on them. Another thing you could try is to disable your AI altogether for about 5-10 minutes in real life by using the console command "tai". Generally I'd also ask to see how many active scripts are running, but currently we're not able to do that until Fallrim tools gets updated.

Another thing is that, you could have potentially added a mod that changed the ai in some way that it is basically encoded into your save itself, which, sadly cannot be undone besides starting over.

I'll try the tai suggestion, though I think it's probably permanently encoded at this point. Not enough of a headache to consider starting over, just something to be mindful of in my game =) Thanks for the help troubleshooting.

Is the settler in question from Far Harbor?

Far Harbor settlers cannot do the normal doctor functions, only sell chems.

You are correct Sir/Madam! I just started building Longfellow's settlement and haven't grabbed any of the other locations yet to notice it was the entire DLC. Never knew this, but I see a workaround of sending a commonwealth NPC over will provide the full dialogue possibly. Thanks for the very helpful tip! =)

That workaround does work, yes. The Far Harbor settlers are a different base actor. I think the dialog tree to allow the settlers to go on the settlement defense missions replaced some of the other settlement dialog options. (only Far HArbor settlers can go out on the settlement defense missions with you)

I will have to remember this for potential future cases, didn't even realize that was a possibility.

Processed for the wiki. Thanks for the info!

I only know because I ran into it the first time I played far harbor and was super irritated, had to run my ass all the way back to the mainland on survival to move a settler over to be my medic.

LOL, apparently this thing replaces swear words with "I love you" :P
