Be sure to update Workshop Framework as well!

  • Workshop Framework now prevents plot items from causing the power grid corruption!
  • Benni Strong should now correctly show up as a recruitable settler if you delivered Buddy and helped Fred Allen in Hotel Rexford!
  • Improvements to Hub of the Problem, such as a potential fix for the "static-only" on radio signal, and companions getting stuck in the final area of the quest.
  • Eliminated a fair number of dirty edits that would have been breaking precombines in some cells for users, depending on load order.
  • And loads more!

Hi!

It appears this patch might cause some issues with the quest "Hub of the Problem", at least with my save file.

I installed the patch just before naturally meeting Jake at the theatre in my save game, I had Nick as a companion and followed the quest as it should progress. Upon entering the sub-basement I found that I was able to activate the button on the ASAM printer but could not do anything with the Holotape or powered button.

After a little searching on the forum I followed this guide (https://simsettlements.com/site/ind...one-else-having-issues-with-this-quest.14788/) to attempt the mission again, reverting to an earlier save, dismissing Nick and running through with no luck.

Following a couple of failed attempts, I reverted to patch 2.0.12a and followed the above quest walkthrough again, all appears to have worked correctly and Jake was able to complete his dialogue on activation of the Holotape and powered machine, quest was completed and I am now on my way to meet "The Ron"

P.S thoroughly enjoying the mod, I never played with SS1 but thanks to everyone who has made SS2 happen, you guy's should be hired to work on the next Fallout from all I've seen!

You're not the only one; I tested it myself ~12 hours ago and had the exact same issues you listed there, regardless of presence of any companions. I threw a Bug Report on it into the tracker we have.
(I know it's an odd thing to say, but it was nice to have one of these issues actually be easily repeatable for once)

Ah good to know it’s not just my game that is borked!

Have you updated after the quest was complete without issue or kept rolled back for now?

I've left it as is. The half hour or so it took me to double check and verify that was all the Fallout4 time I've had to spare this week.

So since I already kept Buddy, and used a mod to end the quest, what is Benni Strong"s PRID #?

Where can I find the patches so I can download them. Looked on Nexus and couldn’t find them - probably looking in the wrong place or wrong search string. Help pls....
As you can tell, I am new to using nexus and pc mods. Just noticed that when I refresh the mods on nexus, if there are updates that is where I download them.

I'm having the same problem.
When Jake is supposed to say at the radio station while you go into the next room to throw switches, he doesn't stay. Instead he runs out and starts work on a terminal. From that point forward he's non-responsive.

Hotfix is going up now.

Amazingly I was able to finish this part of the quest and even the follow-up "The Ron".
Unfortunately Jake has either decided to move into the sub-basement for good or developed a strange affinity to endless digging around in junk, since he his still "down there".
Talking to him gives me the "I will be here for a few days" line and that's it.
I finished the quest quite a while ago (around 12 levels prior) and did plenty of other stuff.
Q: Duz he ever get outta dere?
I am kinda stuck with the basic 3 plot types....
P.S. I can't recall it taking that long on my previous plays.

I think you had to complete the Vault 81 stuff (getting the Vit O Matic) before Jake would suddenly be back in Concord?

Me as well, going to roll back and try a new run through of the hub quest, only I will be very careful and not loot anything until told to or the quest is completed.
