Primary Bug Report Mod Start - Stranger fails to show up after building, powering, and activating a Recruitment Beacon

I downloaded the mod a couple of hours ago, but I have yet to begin anything. I don't know how to get the ASAM Sensors because they're not in the spot they were originally with the first Sim Settlements (Museum of Freedom). I found a magazine on the Sanctuary workshop, so I built a recruitment beacon and waited... and nothing happened.... no stranger arrived. I waited for around 15 minutes (IRL) and there was no progression. All I want to know is how to collect the ASAM Sensors in a very specific set of instructions please.

This mod is not working for me. I uninstalled all of my previous Sim Settlements mods and started a new world with Sim Settlements 2. I went to Concord, saved Preston, grabbed the magazine in Sanctuary, placed the Recruitment Beacon, waited 3 hours in game, and no stranger has arrived! I know the mod is installed because I can go to the Hardware store next to the Museum of Freedom and pick up Broken ASAM Sensors. Along with what looks to be boxes of working sensors that I cannot pick up for some reason. With this evidence that the mod is actually installed and not conflicted with other mods, it makes no sense why "Stranger" is not arriving in Sanctuary. Did I complete objectives in the wrong order? Someone please help me out, anything honestly helps.

I did watch the video. However, it was not to the point at all in terms of guiding players through the process of starting the mod. He talks about a lot of irrelevant things in the video that don't have anything to do with Sim Settlements 2. If there is 1 thing that this mod needs the most, it is a PUBLIC video that goes into detail of how to properly start up this mod. What actions to take in what order and how to enable each part of the beginning story one action after another. No offense, but I watched Raybo's video and it was not informative at all.

OK. I am still just starting on playing through the mod myself. I have yet to get to Concord. If I find anything where I can help you out, I will reply here.

You have to build a radio beacon if this helps

been trying to get the quest to start all day, get the magazine, build tower w/ power and its on, clear concord+museum and still no stranger spawn...waited....fastravelled back and forth waited more idk if im missing something, nothing should conflict...completely lost

Building the beacon before going to Concord still did not work on that playthrough.

I finally got it to work by uninstalling the "SS2 Extended" mod, starting a new game and building the beacon before going to Concord. I can't be sure that the Extended mod was causing the problem, but the mod authors might want to look into it.

I'm having the same issue, the stranger won't spawn. I've picked up the magazine, I've built the beacon and powered it, I've cleaered out most of the settlement, I've removed SS2 Extended, I've restarted 3 times.

On one save I went to concord and saved everyone in case he would appear afterward. In another I ran off and just did random crap, no joy. In this last one I slept for several days in case there was a time passage component, to no avail.

Additionally, settlers appear to not work any normal settlement stations either, they just stand around which suggests script overload.

I'm stuck, not sure what else to try or what information might be helpful in troubleshooting.

Did you download the hotfix? It helped me with the Stranger that didn't spawn.

Yes, I've installed the hotfix. Just did another game with only Fallout 4, Unofficial Patch, SS2, Hud Framework and Workshop Framework. So far, same result, no stranger and regular settlers just stand where they spawn.

Well, I just saved the Quincy 5, had found the book in Sanctuary - cleared the raiders to get into the museum and pillaged the guys shop, but no guy. Just back in Sanctuary with the 5... will see what happens.

I'm pretty sure SS always needed Settlement Menu Manager. Maybe install that?

It actually doesn't require SMM, it just supports it. I removed it as it's not a required mod and I am attempting to remove as many variables as possible. I'm going to do a full reinstall of FO4.

Yep, as soon as I dropped the beacon a "stranger" appears - walks right to my player.... so seems to be good to go.

I have gone through 10 test world and the stranger has never spawned in any of them!! and yes, I HAVE made a recruitment beacon in each world! I ALSO watched each help video and tutorial on the Nexus Mods page! I followed each tutorial EXACTLY and NO SAME RESULT??
Mods:
-SS2
-Workshop Framework
-HUD Framework
-Start Me Up
-Settlement Menu Manager

Full reinstall of FO4 fixed my issues, I probably had some loose scripts and stuff from my add-on pack development days
