Help me, Sim Settlements Community, you're my only hope.

Hi Friends,

I've always used basic CBBE. I've always stumbled when trying to learn how to use Bodyslide and Outfit Studio. I finally decided to sit down and try to learn how to put True Wasteland Body in my game. After hours of trying again, I am super frustrated. I've watched videos, done google searches, but I'm not getting it. The video presenters' MO2 layout never looks like mine and there is too much that they don't slow down to explain.

I am using Mod Organizer 2.
When I launch Bodyslide, there is nothing populated like in peoples' videos.
I've tried installing Bodyslide to the data folder, but that did not fix it.
I need a tutorial for dummies that comes with a coloring book, crayons, and a juice box.

Thank you in advance to whatever kind soul has mercy upon me and my desire to see big boobies in Fallout.

Do you mean MO2? Yes, I have been using it to launch F04 for months. No other games associated.

For Bodyslide, Target game is F04. Game Data path is pointing to the fallout Data folder. Do I need to point it to my MO2 mods folder?

Dont think so no. Do you have any preset data in the drop down menu? Is bodyslide installed in the game data folder data - tools -bodyslide?

No, MO2 installed it to C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\mods\BodySlide and Outfit Studio\Tools\BodySlide

There is nothing in the preset dropdown.

Have you tried to do a manual download - then install from that file?

And, stupid question, but just trying to compare etc, do you have CBBE installed in MO2?

After you install it etc, it should also be in your data folder. I have the file in my vortex folder as you have it in your MO2 folder, but that's just the base orig I think. It uses that file to reinstall if you decided to reinstall it from your Mod Manager.

Also, do you have CBBE enabled in your mod manager. I just disabled it in mine and then have the same visuals as you do. Both CBBE and OS need to be enabled in MO2.

CBBE is installed to my MO2 Mods folder. MO2 put it there. It is enabled.

When you said, "After you install it etc, it should also be in your data folder. " do you mean CBBE or Bodyslide/Oufit Studio?

I have also tried to manually install CBBE to the Data folder, but that didn't help.

If there is anything you would like a screenshot of that would help you diagnose the problem, I'm happy to jump through hoops.

Outfit Studio.
Is Outfit Studio enabled as well?

Cant think of anything else that would give you your problem.

But I would do a manual install of OS. CBBE sounds ok as it is enabled etc.

I got it to work by manually installing CBBE and Bodyslide, and then waving a virgin armadillo over my computer.

Thank you for your help.

Are you running BodySlide as a Tool via MO2 or directly?

I have been running it directly.

I did not see a way to launch it from MO2. I did see where you could modify executables and add it to the list, but not how to launch it.

There's you problem. In order for BS to see your files it needs to be launched from within MO2's and be set up as a Tool. This is under the big tool icon on the main interface.

MO2 use VFS (Virtual File System) and doesn't write to the game folders directly.

Google is handy for this if you know what your looking for.
