Dunno. I was just following the process. Should I be bypassing it?
I say, yes.
That said I will explain my logic so folks won’t get upset with me.
In the real world I always say a
process isn’t complete until you have an exception
strategy.
The process here is so KG won’t have to waste time chasing down BS, false bugs or poorly documented ones. “process intent”
I think you know best if you have a post looking for conformation / collaboration or an actual bug to report. You sure as heck know how to report one.
KG will see this thread, so unless he says something I think you are an
exception. In addition, you are a staff member and an author. Pra, In my time helping I have seen absolutely no one that has been as competent, accurate and consistent in reporting technical issues as you.
In this case “your case” me making a human decision to mark something as a bug and move it to a thread for KG to see is kind of silly. At least to me it is.
I am a petty administrator with a roll. Still, volunteer job or not I don’t want to be one that is impeding/delaying two engineers from doing what they do best.
So, me being me. I say. “You do what you think is right.” Hahaha, Raybo said it. “I’ll ask forgiveness later”.
I don’t want to miss the “intent” of a process by enforcing its “letter.” That is my exception
strategy.
