since the latest update ive been haveing extream stability issues and havent been able to figure our what is going on my load order is just simsettlments the expansions for ss lima detachment c,p,a,o and now 8 diferent sability mods and i cant get hte game to run for more than 5 minutes without crashing anyone who can help or has ideas for ways to fix plz let me know before that updat i was playing with all settings on high but now just to get that five minutes i have to play on low and literally cant acheive anything i dont know if it is a mod issue or a game issue so any help is good help far as im concerned

kinda on the same boat, save with prebuilts its impossible, right now im on a save without prebuilts and with 227 ESM+ESP, including Sim Settlements and Addons, and its not crashing, only when using something from sim settlements (SS or Conqueror) I start getting CTDs after some time.

The deeper through the Conqueror questline I've gone, the more ctd's I was getting. Same as you Keaba, it's every five minutes. Conqueror is now uninstalled, too much of a hassle for me I'm afraid.

It's the prebuilts, the more prebuilt settlements you find, the more you hog your save until it decides to stop working, if memory doesn't fail me this has been an issue for years even on vanilla, I remember playing skyrim on the xbox360 and I had a huge lvl 130 save, that one was crashing every now and then, it was too much data in the save for the x360, im guessing the same is happening here, but this mod pushes the limits so hard that it just starts happening waaay sooner.

In doing my Conqueror Pre-Builds on Nexus, I have found if you pre-build with all level 3's, the file size with all the SS and Add-on packs will reach around 40mb. As you discover them, this number does not go up because it is already loaded.

However, if you do the pre-builds, I would not a) do anything related to adding more plots, b) add any extra settlements and build more, and c) keep your load order down to minimal, and d) do not include any other overhauls or mods adding content such as Beantown, War of the Commonwealth, Rising Phonix, Outcasts and Remnants....

I think if you run conqueror, run conqueror. Cities are built. you don't need more and more... add some weapons, clothes, and call it good...

If you want long term stability.

And you are correct, everything is pushing the vanilla Beth engine. I would pay $$$$ if Beth would release a new engine, even if only 2x+ the current build.

Till then, I have to really pick and choose.

With the last update its worse though, I remember I installed Conqueror the day it came out, prebuilt settlements at level 2 with population and all, my load order was bigger because I removed tons of mods seeking stability , tons of mods that I saw specifically used a lot of scripts in MO2, and for some reason, its less stable than before, I could play for a good 40 minutes or so without crashing with prebuilts like I said, and with a bigger load order, in fact if you check my posts, I even made a ton of them complaining about the quests not progressing properly, at least I could play even if the quests were bugged, I didn't CTD every 5 minutes, one of the latest patches broke something for me and I did not notice because I was using the same save, but I have tried 3 times now, to make new saves with prebuilts, and I always get CTD , but its very very constant and annoying.

I don't understand why, if at all, the load should be less since I removed tons of mods for SS, mods which may I add, work perfectly fine on another save all active but without anything SS related.

Check out my nexus page. I "resource pack " in search My last version 2 has 20 settlements with known problematic settlements not included such as starlight, Jamaica plain etc...

I'll check it out, prebuilts work fine if I only run SS , Conqueror and the SS Addons I use, (I was testing last night, it doesn't CTD if I only have those loaded up) the problem comes when adding more mods, I added only AWKCR,AE, and Raider Overhaul and that was enough to make the game crash at every corner again, if I load up that save with the profile in MO2 where I only have SS mods loaded up I can still roam around, but tbh it's an almost vanilla experience that way, and it's lame :/ , not being able to load even RO on top of it sucks big time , I'd rather play for an hour in my heavy load order and then crash, but at least I get to have an hour or so of fun before saying hello to my desktop again.

Also OP, try without conqueror only SS + addons and your other mods you mentioned, if its still crashes post it please? Make sure to also try on a new game

hi, you mentioned 8 stability mods, can i ask what those mods would be please?

I did some testing today and have found the issue is somehow tied to outposts from conqueror I don't have any stability issues until after I have established out the stability mods I have been using g are en boost, far away , load accelerator, Boston fps fix, vanilla texture enhancement, Intel performance guide, frame time and you, insignificant object remover

I also tested to see if the problem is my computer it's definitely tied to fallout 4 I'm able to run other games like assassin's Creed origins on max max settings with no problems

If you're using enboost and you're on windows 10 ditch it, Its outdated and I doubt the stability patch (which is the setting that "fixes" it all) its not even working on newer versions of win10 properly , memory has changed and I highly doubt the hooks work properly anymore if at all, boris needs to update it, the game does pretty well without it on win10 also, not sure why you're still using it thats for win8 - users

You don't need Boston FPS fix if you're not running scrap mods afaik, I don't know what an intel performance guide is but if you're running an Intel on this game... yeah.. I run it with an Nvidia and I still get crashes with Conqueror

i kinda just grabed everything that might help when i was looking i have a nvidia geforce but my computer has a intel i5 so i grabed the intel performace guide cuz potato inside lol ive gotten rid of the stability mods because they arent really helping

A quad core intel i5 is enough for this game , honestly just stay away from Conqueror as of right now tbh, its too resource hungry, even if you run light on mods or you manage to advance the questline the save bloat will eventually kill your save with constant CTD after a day of gameplay or so..

Oh also, mind telling me exactly what Sim Settlements addons are you using? for comparison purposes

when you say you removed some mods - did you remove them and start a new game, or remove them and carry on with your existing save? if it's the latter then that game is hosed the minute you remove mods from the game and one of the side effects is random ctd's.
