Question Jammer's Quest Line - Stuck

Not sure where to go from here. I helped Jammer, wiped out the raiders in Concord, wiped out the three raider gangs (had to take a tonne of drugs to take out Red Tourette at level 8, she kept raping me so hard I could barely keep up with stimpacks, and left my T 45 in pieces. O.o ), helped out Willie, conquered Sanctuary, scouted and took out Abernathy as a vassal, and fended off the Gunners. Last time I talked to Jammer he wanted caps and chems and that's it, it leave me wondering "Now what? " Do I continue the game like normal (go to Diamond City, talk to Ellie, go to Vault 114 after Nick, etc) or ... ?

Did you give him caps/chems? That's how you build up your gang. You can also build a recruitment beacon just as you would a regular settlement, but it's better to donate caps/chems/cigarettes/alcohol, either to Jammer, or through the HAM radio on the War Planner's Desk.

I'd suggest levelling your character a bit more; you get better guys the stronger your character is. And definitely, when you're able to, build the armory, field hospital, and mess hall to make your gang even better.

You should have also gained the Scouter perk. Roam around a bit, scout settlements which are nearby. Abernathy's not bad as a vassal, but you'll likely still have a food shortage (I think they provide a maximum of 18 food or thereabouts), which will only get worse as you recruit more guys.

Give Jammer a day or so, before running your next raid. Try and find both Tenpines Bluff & Starlight Drive In--Tenpines would be a better bet, as it's another farm with settlers already present.

Yeap, gave him caps. And armory, field hospital, mess hall, etc? I don't remember seeing those in the Settlement Build menu. O.o And I got the holotape and sensors from the Museum.
Oh! I put all the guns and stuff I gathered into the workshop inventory as I didn't see a safe on the War Board. Ok. I'll pull those out and try the ham radio trick. So, yeah, I guess now I'll continue with the main quest to build up levels and try to find more settlements to raid. And try to figure out these extra buildings you mention.

Cool! Thanks. :D

Also, at this point, I am going to assume why Red was so tough is I am using Raider Overhaul which seems to be working both ways, working for me and for the raiders I've been taking out. Oh well. :D

You did boot up Sim Settlements, right? Ran the City Manager 2078 holotape, right?

As to donations, the raiders want chems, booze, cigarettes, and caps. The weapons/armor won't do anything (though it would be awesome if that were somehow implemented).

The field hospital and the armory are special martial plots. To build them, put down a 2x2 martial plot. Click on the ASAM sensor once it appears, and pick "Choose Building Plan"

The field hospital is listed as "[CQ] Field Hospital", while the armory is "[CQ] Armory"

These special plots won't build automatically---you have to manually select them. Same goes for the mess hall. That one's a special entertainment plot, also 2x2. Same thing, choose "Chose Building Plan" in the ASAM menu. It'll be listed as "[CQ] Mess Hall"

Yeah, Red, Tower Tom, and Jared are all a bit tougher with Raider Overhaul--I only recently started using it, and damn, I don't know why I waited this long to install it! So much good stuff in that mod, it's unbelievable.

Ah. I think I did? I'll have to check to see as I know the Conqueror auto booted. And, yeah, what self respecting raider wouldn't want weapons? More guns to shoot people with. :D I did the Diamond City Blues quest and killed everyone in the end and kept all the chems to put into the War Board. Also just did Ten Pines Bluff as a vassal. Though I am a bit annoyed, I tried to build some more defenses for Ten Pines and it says they aren't allied with me. Like what the? They're my vassal so, yeah, they're allied with me. O.o The sim map marker changed and I show supply lines between Sanctuary and Ten Pines.

Oh! I am getting *WAY* ahead of myself but I am curious how Conqueror handles Nuka World's quest "Home Sweet Home" ?

There's a way to set it so you can still use the workshop in vassal settlements. I don't know where the setting is in the holotape though (I use MCM for most Sim Settlements/Conqueror settings)

There isn't any real Nuka World/Conqueror integration yet (though I think it's coming down the road), but some have reported issues with NW raiders suddenly turning hostile without reason or warning. I'd suggest making a hard save before starting the NW quest line.

Ok. I'll have to poke at the MCM settings then. And, yeah, I noticed Raider Overhaul integrates Nuka World stuff, I've had some of my recruited raiders talking about me taking down Colter and I'm no where near that point. O.o

Cool! Thanks. :D

Your raider gangs talking about Coulter actually comes from Conqueror. It switches the voices 'on the fly' to use the Nuka World gangs' voices instead of the generic raider voices if you have NW installed.

Optional integration is a really cool feature. Not needing to download patches/additional plugins--both Conqueror and the base Sim Settlements does it behind the scenes through code.

Yeap! Though who thought it would be a great idea to have some raider named Boomer at the Outpost. Took a couple of tries to not get blown to bits by his fat man before I took it as an Outpost. >.<

Jammer's quest line is tied to the number of settlements you've captured. As you capture more and return to HQ, periodically you'll find Jammer talking to someone and generally listening in will result in progression of the quest.

It's also a work in progress. We're continually pushing out more content for it. Likely the entire quest line will take us a long time to produce as we're trying to create a complete alternate playthrough possibility, so it's a lot of quests to create!

Boomer. Oh god, yeah. Nightmares. Or the guy at the top of the building in Lexington. Long range, he uses the fat man. Get up close (if you survive that long), he comes at you with a machete. "But I want that power armer, g-ddammit!"

Ok, odd, I just did the quest with Jammer to get Ophelia and now it seems Jammer is a perm Companion, I don't see an option to 'fire' him and send him back to Sanctuary but the quest is done.

If Jammer is still your companion, then something is definitely broken. Though myself and the rest of the team have run through this quest line hundreds of times without having this happen - so my money is on some sort of mod conflict - or more likely, a save file problem.

Would highly recommend grabbing the latest patch, rolling back to before you completed that quest and trying it again - at least the Shaw section of it.

Ok. I updated already, when I get back into the game I'll load up a save prior to Shaw. As for my mods, let me see...

It's pretty puzzling since I have done the quests a lot of times and never hit this. I usually run full load order too which is still over 200 plugins after heavily trimming it down. Quest mods are very complicated though, so I guess it might not be possible to account for absolutely everything when everybody's game installs are going to be different and people are usually going to be running 300 to 500 mods.

I'd suggest levelling your character a bit more; you get better guys the stronger your character is.
To add on to this, it also matters where the current outpost/main base is. When recruited they are scaled to player level but also limited by minimum & maximum levels defined by the Encounter Zone which sets the allowable level range for all leveled NPCs spawned in them, another way of putting it is it's just like how enemies are at higher levels when you go further south in the Commonwealth(enemies in Quincy are higher level than those in Concord or Corvega). Raider Recruits you recruit at a Spectacle Island or Murkwater Construction Site outpost will be higher level than those recruited at Sanctuary Hills.

It's very key since the minimum leveled(in general) recruits are only level 4 with 45hp & will usually have unmodded Pipe Pistols and Molotovs, which they tend to inadvertently kill each other with.

On my next playthrough I'm thinking I'll take a high level location as my first outpost just for something different.

I kind of like that kind of chaos. I also like it how at my breakheart banks settlement you get a 3 way battle, the Super Mutants that are there by default fighting the Gunners then the Raiders showing up.

I am also confused with Jammer quest-line. So far I've killed the three gang leaders, conquered 3 outposts and made a few vassal farms. Built a war table and can craft slave collars now. We've had both Gunners and Minutemen attacks on Sanctuary Hills which were fended off successfully. However his quest named 'In it for the Money' still has " Help Jammer (or don't)" considered incomplete and I'm not sure if it's stuck or if I should continue conquering more and more settlements? People talk about Ophelia but I've never even met her in my game.

If it helps, my load order is as follows (I'm using SimSettlements 3-in-1):

It stays there so that you can more easily find Jammer. AFAIK it only goes away if you fail it.

Often times for new quests you will need to go talk to Jammer or go near him for it to trigger
