Hangman's Alley

cheers RayBo. why the f they don't update the link on their own site I don't know.

Mainly, because they are not supporting it anymore. Nexus have moved to support Vortex and that's pretty much it.

Vortex is still in open alpha, but in this stage I would actually hope they would replace NMM link with Vortex link - though I personally feel that MO2 is far better for BGS games.

I have never checked. I will ask and reply with a proper answer, when someone from the dev team gets back to me.

I have been using vortex for a couple of months now. :aggro It was rough getting use to it at first but IMHO it maybe be alpha but I think it is ready for prime-time. "I like it A Lot". :shokhahahahaha Easy for me to say, I just don't want to be a member of that support staff when they do pull the trigger.

:crazy That said, I am one HUGE :jester "FOOL" :jesteras I will be here helping folks when they do pull that trigger. OH, GOOD-LORD what am I saying? :secret:crazy hahaha - I am an idiot!

Still -
1. I love it now. Super happy I made the change.
2. Some things are lacking but all in all far fewer problems and a much improved product.

Gopher just pushed out his #4 tutorial and I feel it is a must watch even for old hands:

I think the ending / 2d half is more interesting for the experienced users.

OTOH, at least someone is keeping NMM alive on github, so it's still getting updates. I'm to old to change horses in mid-stream here... :)

We did some comparison with up to date versions of MO2 and Vortex.

MO2: 129 MB
Vortex: 293 MB
Kool!
Was wondering how much memory one would save by not using M02 or launching through NMM/Vortex
NMM:70 MB
Vortex is a fat bugger. LOL
I know it's not much.. but some are running F04 on just barely the required specs. Which in reality, the system doesn't have the headroom to run F04.

Chef said that MO2 uses about 100 MB for him. Other replies I got were between that an 129. I used the value I am getting, which is quite constant 129.

Vortex is a bit fat right now. It is still in alpha. I hope Tannin will find ways to optimize it's memory usage later on.
