Problem with gathering resources

I can't seem to gather resources even after waiting for days, it was stuck at zero for awhile, but when I used the town gavel to send everyone to work, it is now stuck at 1.Fallout 4 Screenshot 2022.12.31 - 17.01.47.18.png

Yeah, there's something strange going on with resource levels since update 2.3.0. Manifests slightly differently depending on the resource setting (component, category, etc), but generally results in some really wild numbers. I run in Category mode and have seen either 95% of my resource storage taken up by one category (usually either machine parts or organics), or the amount of one category is shown as infinity.

There's also some problems with a few unique settler quests, but that seems more sporadic.
 
@cbrgamer2 Ok it seems to have reverted back to being 0 again, I can see the daily change but its not really being put into the virtual storage. Here's my save file if you want to look into it, the only mods I think that could maybe cause some problem to sim settlements that I have are "we are the minutemen" and all the "FallUI" mods. Some mods that I have that might break the game if you don't have them is the "Nora Spouse companion" mod and that should be about it. I tested it on my machine with the updated resource code (which should be in the next patch) and it worked fine. So hopefully it's just a case of waiting until the next patch.

I had pretty much the same problem.
It seems I deepend the problem it by running the resouce recalculation script that did not seem to start. After loading a save made after that, the progress bar showed up after some time, but it didn't progress, while i waited in town for about half an hour.
I opened the savegame in Resaver and found both "bRecalulateVirtualResourceData" and "bBlockResourceHudUpdate" true set to true. I don't know if they prevent the Hud from updating. Does anybody know?

So I reverted to the savegame before running the script which I checked with Resaver too:

I realized that the amount of 243 active scripts where running. I tested a few things ingame and found that I could not relocate settlers and activating ASAMs took minutes. So I terminated everything active with resaver. Now I'm able to relocate settlers again and ASAMs also activate quick again, but I'm not sure if verything will get up and running correctly again after the script termination...

I wish there would be some option to reinitialize SS2's skripts...

bBlockResourceHudUpdate is set to true at the start of the daily update for resources to stop the production code spamming the HUD with requests to update. It is set to false again at the end of the daily update. The only way I can see that it would be true in your save is if you happened to save while the daily update was running (it generally takes over a minute to run)
 
In that case the daily Update doesn't seem to finish for me. bBlockResourceHudUpdate is true in a save even after hours of gameplay.
In all the time the virtual resource hud element didn't update. Maybe virtual resource recalculation doesn't progress for the same reason?
Just because the daily/initial calculation gets stuck or breaks?
 
Is it okay to revert to, say, 2.2.4a until the next update, or will this ruin my game? I'm collecting nothing but scrap, and I have one each of the four categories running. And I am using Categories. I checked. I've turned off building costs so the plots are advancing (even though they say they are costing me, which they never said before, but they go ahead and build without the stuff) but it is affecting HQ and I can't build anything in HQ. Nothing at all. Which means I also can't recruit 15 settlers because they have nowhere to sleep. That leaves me dead in the water.

Edit: I've since found the setting that lets me build in HQ without having the materials.

If you want to revert to v2.2.4a, you will have to load a save made using that version.
 
Same here, i just started again and i dont get any stuff at all.
I even did a full reinstall of F4, all mods, nothing works.
I am in the middle of If i had a hammer and i dont get anything from any plot.
 
Seeing similar problems, as mentioned in other threads. similar issues to MondoMage but also issues with the HQ not getting any scrap, even though the supply lines are set up and they are producing excess scrap. likely all related and sounds like the next patch may help with this too
 
Yes this indeed Is an issue currently but I have been able to avoid it somewhat in certain steps in my settlement handling for one I never Leave a plot to the “0” state this seems totally Bork Your save is you leave a settlement or save at such state and load the game another time.

Also to be noted I use the 3.2.0 version (non hotfix) since the hotfix seems to only worsen the issue at least for me. I also currently have only one settlement to worry about since I play with very hardcore game so I need to take it slow.

I nope this gets solved fast as its getting rather annoying to be so cautious in my building.
