This is a nice start, you seem pretty knowledgeable minus the Duncan woopsy. My only 2 criticisms would be to create a script and practice it before recording, and pick a theme for your video.

for the first point, the long breaks, pauses, and stuttering to relay information makes it difficult to listen to. This is mostly a confidence thing which isn’t easy when doing your first video so I understand. With time it will get easier but try and be more focused with your videos, this will help immensely.

The second point is perhaps a little bit of a nit pick. You seem to be doing two types of videos in one, and sadly, this approach isn’t working too well. The first type is an informational video and it’s going pretty well. Your knowledgeable about what your subject matter is, though the delivery needs a little work as stated. I have no doubt this will get better though. The second type is a Let’sPlay type video where you go through the whole game, showing your path and objectives, and detailing your choices. The downside to these is the long travel in between where nothing is really going on. You try to alleviate this by fast forwarding through this footage, but from the watchers prospective, this is extremely jarring and difficult to view. One thing you could do is just cut the portions of the video out where there’s not really anything going on and picking back up when something interesting happens. Create a market for yourself in game where you want to cut footage (popping open your game menu and quickly closing it a couple times helps if you are fast forwarding your own videos and looking for cut points). Then before going into an area you know something is going to happen, stop and describe what’s happening. If you run into a random encounter, that’s fine, keep a scrap piece of paper and write some notes, noting the time stamp of the recording and what happened. Then later during editing you can decide if it’s important enough to include, or just talk about it after the fact at your next break.

I know this is a long reply, but these were points I wanted to offer as I get bored at work, and watching SS2 videos is a great way to get my own creative mind juices going. Wishing you the best of luck out there and have fun!

Hey bud. I apologize for the bad intel, I looked it up after watching you video and the power poles are radial power generators like power connectors in vanilla. So you can place a pole, skip a pole on a plot and place another.
Your getting better in your videos, but make sure you are reporting the right things. I left a comment on the video. As I stated before, doing a little prep work can save a lot of headache. Since you’re not doing a straight playthrough of the game, spend some time off camera to make sure you have all the supplies you need. Know your Mods and which ones replace key features, improve features, or add new aspects. For example, you have logistic benches from IDKE set up in all three of your settlements, plus 2 vanilla provisioners going between them. That’s 5 people giving you 2 supply lines. If you build caravan municipal plots in your settlements (highly recommended) you’ll have 8 people just for those two supply lines. I honestly don’t use any mod to modify supply lines since base SS2 does everything vanilla does, plus shares the “virtual junk” gathered by the plots for building materials. Early game, IDKE or vanilla provisioners can be useful to get access to YOUR junk for building, but once you have caravan services, kind of makes them a moot point.

Thanks for that :) And thanks for subbing!

I fully intend to be switching over to Caravan Municipal plots when I have them unlocked. I'm demonstrating the woes and difficulties early game and their solutions, including IDEK.

IDEK is definitely a good replacement mod for vanilla provisioners early game. If you get a couple more settlements done off cam and before you unlock municipal plots, you should demonstrate the other features of the mod, like changing the layout of the supply lines for a more visually appealing map.

I have enjoyed the series so far, and thanks for letting me know about Loot Detector.

I believe I was subscriber #15, never been such a low number subscriber to a site. It will be fun to watch you grow.
