Power problem

My municipal power plot is not giving any power. (Yes I'm using the municipal power grid pylon) its not giving any power at all. And while I'm here, is there any fix to shops yet ?

There's a component in the SS2 power section that you need to stick on the side of your power plot. Municipal power switch, I think? Going off the top of my head here, so the info should definitely be taken with a large grain of salt, but it was one of the first two or three choices in the power menu.

Psst read through what I said, im already using that

Did you try scrapping (not storing, fully scrapping) and making a new Pylon, then giving the scripts a minute to catch up?

Not the pylon. There's another component, the name of which is escaping me at the moment.
You SHOULD only need one or the other, not both - at least that's how it has worked for me.

It was working before but when it was changed to another version of the municipal power (like a different building), I've tried everything, it won't send power, yes there are people working there, yes its all connected. Tried fully scrapping, changing to the different versions of it and it will not send any power

The name of the component that I couldn't remember the name of is the municipal power grid switchbox. I had one power station at Starlight that was driving me crazy until I stuck that on the side and wired it to the rest of the grid. Seems kind of strange that the power pole that comes with the plot doesn't do the job, but I'm sure there's a reason.

I've never had a power plant that supplied power from the power pole that came with the plot. I've always had to use the switchbox.

The pole on the plot itself doesn't, but there's more than one object in the "Power" submenu under SS2's Workshop tabs. You need ONE of those. I personally use the one that looks like a standard power pylon with a box attached to it.

Did you check the ASAM on the power plot to confirm it's generating any output?
It should be, I didnf check that but I did make sure it had everything it needed including a settler

Click the alt activation for the ASAM. I bet $$$ that the power output is 0. Refreshing the plot should fix this. I have encountered this bug whenever the assigned NPC is changed.

It won't let me check that on the view reports area, on some plots it will only show "operating costs" and thats it. I tried refreshing again, didnt work, also tried scrapping the municipal power grid pylon and adding it back and even adding the switch box, didn't work

Somewhere it sounds like you have an abandoned object and associated script. I downloaded a mod that detects and then removes the affected items and scripts. However I have found that it will make we rewire a lot of stuff to fix it. Also check that your Recruit beacon isn't wired into the power grid in a way that it works as a switch. If so and you turn it off it will turn off power to anything after it in the power grid.

Also there has been a lot of updates to the main mod and a lot of the add-ons so make sure you are fully up to date with everything including WSFW.
